We left Solomons Island  on sunday at 0915  after saying our goodbyes to all.  Even Skipper managed to come aboard although he looked longingly to shore for mom to run back to.  We managed a favorable tide for quite a while and late in the afternoon arrived a Reedvile VA.  A quick meal for Skipper and off to shore for his nightly duty.   Up at 0500 and managed to leave just before daylight after taking S ashore and raising the dinghy on the davits.  It was a  rough and cold 54NM to Norfolk Harbor and then in to Hampton Roads municipal dock.  Coast Guard kept announcing gale warnings for the next few days  so we decided that this would be a well  protected place to wait it out.  Not only that but S likes the park.  This AM weather report does not look as bad for this area, but NJ and NYC may catch it again. We will move on later this week.  Hope to go throught the Dismal Swamp again if possible.   All for now.
