We are still in Mill Cr. and are putting Release back together after the storm.  I am in the where-did-we- put-that-piece part of it.  The boat is only 36 ft long, its gotta be here somewhere.   The worst of the storm hit here Monday and Francie and I spent the nite on Release making sure she stayed where we anchored her. We are happy to say that both anchors held beautifully.
We feel quite fortunate to be here, as we were in NYC on the 21st, Atlantic City the 23rd, Cape May the 24 th all being hammered on the 27th and 28 th.  We are lucky we didn't stop to play the Slots.  We pushed every day working the tides.  Up at 4 or5 AM hauling anchor and leaving  and  setting the anchor after dark in evening. we did not take a rest till through the C&D canal and into the Chesapeake.
We hope to continue our journey on sunday or monday hoping that the waves will be laid down and some of the debris out of the way.  Norfolk is about a 2 day trip for us from here and then either the Virgina Cut or the Dismal Swamp.
In the mean time we are enjoying Francie's Mom, sister Susie and husband Frank, brother Richard and wife Nancy's company as well as patience.  Skipper has the company of Susie's dog Misty and Richard & Nancy's dog  Lady Edgar Tisha Wellington Smythe Sheridan. God what a handle!!  I hope I didn't miss any of the names.

I will enclose  pictures of Release stripped for the storm.
