We left GTC on Sunday 1/25/15 for our trip around the infamous Whale Cay and on to Treasure Cay, a well developed cay with beautiful beaches. We traveled there by car last year, but this was our first trip by boat. We were with Kevin & Deb on Grace and they had been there before so it was much easier to get in the harbor with their help. We stayed through Tuesday enjoying the area, shopping and riding out another weather front. I managed to get a line caught in the dinghy prop and needed a new one, so off to Marsh Harbor and National Marine to get the last one in stock .
After replacing the prop and doing shopping in the large grocery store we stayed the night and left in the AM for Guana Cay. Kevin & Deb, Francie, Myself & Skipper went ashore and to Nippers Beach Bar for dinner (lobster quesadillas & conch fritters, and Kalik beer) oops, no salad. We were then entertained by Skipper and Eddie the bar cat. Eddie was in charge, but the bartender said that Skipper was the first dog that Eddie ever let around him. We also enjoyed the 4 of us dancing to old tunes.
The following morning we were joined by Peter & Janet on La Buona Vita as they had crossed and caught up with us. (We traveled with La BV in the spring of 2011 for a month or so.) We all three boats decided to wait out another clocking wind at Boat Harbor. After Boat Harbor we sailed back to Marsh harbor to do some banking and get ready to head south for warmer weather.
