Conception I, and back to Cat Island 2/24/15

We left Long Island for Conception and had planned to visit Rum Cay as well, but as luck and the weather would have it another blow was forecast.  After only one day at Conception we moved back to Old Bite at Cat Island.  We visited the beach and town of Old Bite with a stop at a local roadside takeaway for lunch.  Peter and Janet decided to leave for Emerald Bay on Great Exuma, and we decided to explore more of Cat.  We would meet in Eleuthera later to head back to the Abacos.  Francie and I left Old Bite for Smith Bay  and anchored for the night.  It was pretty tight quarters in there and we ventured farther north to Curry Murry Bluff and anchored , went ashore ant to a local store for ice cream. On Sunday we move north to Bennetts Harbor which is well protected and very beautiful.  Moday was on to Orange Creek and Arthurs Town for laundry and groceries.  Arthurs Town is the home of the Smoke Pot restaurant  and friends Julian and Renee, the owners.  Monday is there closed day, but Julian said we are having a few people over come and join us, so we did.  Renee is a superb cook and Julian helps as well as plays in his Rake and Scrape band which met and played for all.  Francie played second Saw on a couple of numbers .  We had decided to return to Eleuthra on Wednesday.
