We had the most wonderful visit home, Thanksgiving, Tree Trimming, hunting, visiting, Craft Fairing, eating, visiting, shopping, eating, visiting..... then a perfect Christmas on Dec. 19 with -almost- all the family together - all 4 of our kids and 13 of our 14 grandkids- such a treat for us! Then on to California, MD to stay with Mom while we enjoyed another Christmas with her and my siblings and families, another special treat for us! We loaded up Red Bird again on the 28th of Dec for the final leg of the trip back to Stuart and Release. Appropriately, we were there to start the New Year, after celebrating the Eve with fellow boaters at the Marina. We were really happy to meet up with Kevin and Deb Stone of Grace (and also of Danby!) at the marina. They had been there for a few days, and had generously checked up on Release for us, rearranging the mooring lines as they were fraying! This past week has been spent doing a multitude of boat chores, enjoying some warmer weather, road trips, reprovisioning, renewing friendships, in particular with Dave and Joann of Tropical Breeze, great to see them again! We will be selling Red Bird in a couple of days, Barb and Bill Pike of Snow Goose will arrive, Lu and Mike will be started this way, and we are planning to be on the way to Miami early next week.
