Hi Folks,
We have left Georgetown after a very nice stay. Regrettable, that we left more great friends behind. Dave and Joann on Tropical Breeze are headed for the Atkins Cays and Mike and Lu on ChrisJen are staying in Georgetown for the music Festival. Meg Mary and Charlie on White Seal are staying for the rest of the Regatta. Theyraced in the Interharbor race on Sat. and will race again in the around Stocking Island race next week. Meg and Mary with a couple of other girls raced in the coconut gather. There was some discussion on the 8 extra coconuts, but the judges allowed them I think. I believe they will also race in the rowing dinghy race.
We left sunday and sailed with a great breeze to Cat Island. It was a great sail with some good swells, but a lot of time between them. We left at 0800 and arrived here at 1630 with a total of 50nm. We anchored at Old Bight and had a great time swimming and Francie gathering shells. This morning the water was so clear that Francie dove down by the boat in 11 ft of water and picked up 3 sand dollars that we could see from the deck. We did more exploring and then moved about 5 miles up to New Bight. Now that we have checked out the Hermitage, rented a car and drove the length and breadth of Cat Cay, we will move north to Orange Creek and hope to dive and snorkle there.
