We left Green Turtle Cay, where Stranded Naked, the home of the Black Sound Yacht Club makes its home, and decided to make a run through the window of opportunity for Florida. On the first leg to Great Sale Cay Francie and I both caught our supper and a few more meals. There is nothing like fresh fish. Skipper was not as enthusiastic about Great Sale as a beach place . Our intent was to leave and do an overnight to St.Lucie Inlet, but people were turning back and we decided to head for West End on Great Bahama Island for the night. We left there monday and crossed to Lake Worth in a rock and roll ride, but arrive safely in good time. Peter, Ingrid, and Marth on La Buona Vita crossed as well. We had an interesting first night home as our anchor dragged and we were aground about 0230. We were fortunate in that we were on low tide and with the help of fellow travelers we got off this morning with no damage.
Later today after putting out 2 anchors we had another front hit with heavy winds. We held fast but were able to help our neighbors whose anchors were pulling. The boating community is a very good bunch with help coming from all.
