Francie & I went to bed early onDec 19 as it looked like a good window for the 20th. About midnight there was a boat came in with some partiers on it and hooked up next to us. After an hour it was plain to us that we either needed to join them or leave. This was a great chance to get an early start, so we slipped the lines and headed out of Port Everglades on the wrong side of the tide, but doable. We were able to sail along with motoring during the dark and after day light we backed off on the engine and did some fishing. Francie caught another nice Mahi ( 40 in) and put us in a grand frame of mind . This was her 2nd one, the first being a 32 in on the way to Hillsboro inlet. We had grilled Mahi for dinner when we reached Mangrove Cay that night 102 nm in 17 hours. The following day we went to Walker cay to sign in but no one was there, so we went to Great Sale to spend the evening and a good spot for Skipper. On dec 22 we left Great Sale and sailed to White Sound at Green Turtle Cay arriving to late too check in but after calling customs set up a time the next day to check in.
