June 11- 15 Solomons Md. to Sandy Hook NJ

We awoke at O'dark thirty and cast off for our trip north on the Chesapeake Bay. We had a favorable tide, but once again the wind wanted to be on the nose. we managed to use all of the Bay to sail, but made it to Swan Creek near Rock hall Md. that evening, 68 Nm. Up early the next AM, Skipper to shore and off. We managed the C&D canal and into the Delaware River, to waves breaking over the bow and managed an anchorage by Reedy Island. Once again a good place for Skipper. next morning we left on a ebb tide for a quick ride to Cape May. We refueled, walked Skipper and left to go outside for an overnite to Sandy Hook NJ. About 10 PM we ran into dense fog. We continued with Francie announcing our position on the radio and watching the radar. around midnight we decided to move closer to shore and anchor out. After 4 hours sleep we continued to Atlantic Highlands to a warm welcome from Dean and Susan on Autumn Borne. The following day we spent resupplying and visiting with Dean and Susan. A great time was had by all including shrimp & champagne as well as Dark & Stormies for the remainder of the evening.
