11/8 11/10 Georgetown to Daufuskie Island
We left Georgetown at 0700 towards Charleston SC and stopped at Dewees Creek, a distance of 47 nautical miles and had a quiet evening with Lu and Mike on ChrisJen. The 9th we departed early, but had to wait on a bridge and continued through Charleston to Fenwick Cut on the Ashpoo River. Charleston was fairly busy and both boats decided to go on instead of the usual stop. From Fenwick on the 10th we made it to Beaufort SC for a fuel and water stop, but as it was early continued to Daufuskie Island and a dock that was loaned to us last year and again this year. The four of us and Skipper walked up to Marshside Mamas for pizza, beer and some local color. From Daufuski Lu and Mike decided to use the ICW through Georgia and Francie and I go Outside to St. Marys Ga. Inlet. We said goodbye and hoped we would get back together somewhere in Florida.

This potential stop in Charleston will become much more necessary as the years go on despite the traffic in the harbor. I'll meet you on the dock with food, drinks and hugs! :-)
