We were at Danby and received a call from 79 st Marina that we needed to come down and move the boat as there was a hurricane coming through. We took the boat there because of the possible chance of one why the hell did we need to move it!! Off we went Francie, I and Ben to NYC and upon arrival were told that we were ok as the front had gone out to sea. All of us spent the night after sampling the delights of Henry's Restaurant on Broadway and a few other spots for BW's ( Buffalo wings) and drafts. Francie returned to Vt, I and Ben to Times Square, for BW and drafts. We moved to Atlantic Highlands NJ on 10/6/2015 to spend the night before heading south. We went ashore for groceries and checked out a local pub. Got some BW's and draft and returned to Release.
At O'Dark Forty five( 0345) we departed Atlantic Highlands, around Sandy Hook and headed south. The ocean was beautiful and a great sunrise greeted us along the way. I and Ben decided to do an overnight and were at Cape May around 0030 to head the Delaware River. We managed to get all of the tides right and slid through the C&D canal into the Chesapeake Bay on a great speed. We were doing so great that we continued to Solomons Island 275 km and arrive 0400. we dropped the hook in Mill Creek and waite till 0900 o call Susie, Francie's sister and head to Stehmans dock to meet Francie upon her arrival. That evening we went to dinner with Richard and Nancy to a mexican restaurant after Francie's arrival. I and Ben had some BW's for an appetizer along with a draft of course. Ben was to take our car to Rochester NY for a weddinf the next day and Francie and I to stay with Susie & Frank.
